For more than ten years, Alexandra Makriyanni has worked across beauty, fashion, tech and lifestyle hospitality, bringing together creative thinking, communication and a deep interest in the cultural worlds that shape how people connect with brands and experiences.

She studied Communication, with a focus on Advertising & Film, at Deree, The American College of Greece. In 2018, she moved to London, where she worked and developed her creative perspective within a much broader international landscape. Alongside her professional work, she took part in creative workshops through Vogue College of Fashion, part of Condé Nast, exploring fashion media, digital art direction and creative strategy, before continuing her studies in Marketing Strategy at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.

Her career has taken her from Korres to Ace Hotel / Atelier Ace in London and later Athens, Ergon across Greece and UK, Publicis Groupe, leading both L’Oréal and Visa, H&M for Eastern Europe, before moving into consultancy, working with Mastercard, currently with The Coca-Cola Company and independent lifestyle hospitality brands.

The work itself has always been varied: international campaigns, brand communications, content, editorial and creative strategy. From shaping a brand’s visual and verbal world to developing the ideas and narratives that give it meaning.

Across Athens and London, she has curated cultural programming, partnerships and experiences with artists, galleries, publishers and cultural platforms, while helping launch new hospitality concepts and build communities around them.

Alexandra is now building The Knot, her own consultancy across lifestyle and culture, bringing together the strategic discipline of her corporate experience with a more curious, instinctive and culturally led approach to creative work.
